I got the box set for CBG 1-3 and CBG 4 is an amazing book. the story is great. Gideon is hilarious and becoming a very well defined character. can’t wait for 5 and 6

I enjoyed this book it foreshadows a lot of the twists but in a way that is engaging.

It’s ok. The MC certainly has a different attitude towards gaming. Very well written and narrated. Funny at times. Just nothing really special. For an easy fun read, I’ll probably continue listening to future books in the series.

Story just didn’t grab me. The readers were good, but even they couldn’t add life to this story.

The book (specifically the second half) will skip randomly and always in the same places. Nothing I do has fixed the issue and I don’t know if it is an issue with the audio book itself or audible. Otherwise the story is great, the voice acting and effects are amazing and overall I can’t wait..

this book utterly surprised me. it was an amazing story and I was hooked from the start. The narrator performed amazingly. great character voices and effects. can’t wait to listen to the next 2 books. highly recommend this book to everyone that’s a fan of fantasy book or even gaming.

While the story is satisfying, the in-universe thing I had a hard time accepting was the extreme time dilation. Spending hundreds of years fighting or partying is something that would lose its novelty pretty quickly. The story flows from one step to the next very well thought out cut me entertained and I’m thrilled and can’t wait for the next book

I have serious buyer’s remorse right now. The story is slow, unimaginative, and bland. The voice performance is really bad—the volume swings wildly between the narrator and the character’s speech, so either the character can’t be heard or the narrator is blaringly loud. Don’t buy this book (especially not the audiobook version)!
