I like the balance of mostly game world with a touch of real world. the sound effects and multiple voice actors help give a real feel for being completely inside this virtual world
a wonderful new series

Fun book. Does brush against some heavy subjects. Mostly loss, and moving on. A bit more drama than I was expecting but I guess that is to inject more stakes into a game world. The narrators did a good job with their roles. I look for the next one.
Good story. listened to it a couple times. enjoyed it lots. Good story. listened to it a couple times. enjoyed it lots.
I really enjoyed reading/listening to these books, so it became that much more disappointing by the utter garbage that was an ending. I’m not sure how it can even be redeemed in a 4th book outside of telling everyone to pretend the ending of the third book was a bad totem dream.
I had to struggle through this book. The overall premise has alot of potential, it’s just the way the story was presented that caused a low rating in my point of view. Alot of the interactions in this book remind me of how a teenager would act and think. The time dilations and the villian..
This is such a refreshing take on this genre. I loved all the characters and the narrators were great. I could not stop listening to this. Can’t wait for the second one to come to audible
Narration: The biggest adjustment you have to get used to is the use of a narrator from the U.K. and an A.I. from France (I assume that’s a French accent). It doesn’t make sense in a story that takes place in rural Colorado, U.S.A. You’re already using Soundbooth Theater for other vocals, or at least..
Very interesting story line. Ken is a great author. So what happens next? I cannot wait to find out☺
this series has sucked me right in, I’m really enjoying it and cant wait to get my hands on the next book. shout out to soundbooth theater crew! they do AWESOME work!
