LitRPG aspects are in the background, more then other LitRPG’s & it’s just a GOOD action / adventure. MC & other humans get put PERMANENTLY into a game [ NO SPOILERS ]. STORY: good constant pace, with lots of action & melee or powers/magic. Some mystery or twists, humor, romance & sex. Interesting character interaction..
This book has some of the best tropes in the genre all mashed up to make for a hilarious and exciting romp through a “dungeon”. Don’t let the name fool you though, it’s really a tower climber system apocalypse story mixed with hunger games. It has a completely over the top snarky AI…almost too over..
Excellent progression wonderful voicework my only issue was the music was a lil loud for my immersion in a few spots. I cannot wait for the next book!
The protagonist is what we wish we could be in impossible situations. Yet he is surrounded by friends he loves that imbody the flaws we all try not to show or are embarrassed by. It’s an exciting and emotional journey! I’m a new fan of EA Hooper!
The whole series seemed to have an end at about last book but boy, Shemer knows what he is doing. A perfect mix of everything, I love that there is some drama outside, or in the real life and that there is some things happening behind the scenes everywhere… it adds upp to the drama..
I loved how he used some characters from his Bad Games series! Enjoyable turns in the short stories make you chuckle as he slam dunks the endings.
different voices for characters is always a plus in my books. The plot got me interested, majority of the time. Inky thing I wished they had, was to add the other series to audible.
Such a fantastic story and great world that the author has creates for us. Lots of action, character building and story for us to eat up. Jeff Hays and Co. knock another one out of the park with their performance. I love all the extra sound effects and the song! LMAO!
the narrators are amazing and enthusiastic with helps bring the story to life. the overall story line is engaging and allows for an interesting way to understand character growth. a great series and looking forward to the next addition.
