Addictive, intriguing, lucid, mesmerizing

Review from The Heroic Villain →

The Heroic Villain definitely brought back that missing piece of me. I been away from the entire litrpg and books in general for a long time. I really enjoyed how they kept me entertained, I might have disappeared for IRL while going through them without interruptions. I enjoyed how each scene was transitioned smoothly, there..

A good story with a distracting performance

Review from Shadow Sun Survival →

The story is good with characters showing strengths, weaknesses, and growth. However the sound production ruins it. the story is awesome and well thought out . my only issue is with the sound effects. I appreciate the battle scores though sometimes to loud, ending up competing with the narrative. but sounds effects out off battle is just irritating.

Too much background audio

Review from Shadow Sun Survival →

Lots of sound effects and music distract from the reading. The bear cub is especially annoying. The main narrator talks like he’s got cotton stuffed in his cheeks. Otherwise great story, great premise, finished the book despite the annoying extras.

This book was a hoot!!

Review from The Heroic Villain →

What a refreshing take on the genre of litrpg. I haven’t laughed so hard in such a long time. Kudos to Charles Dean, please do it again! And kudos to Soundbooth Theater as usual for such an amazing production. It brings it all to life. Kakaw!!

Sound effects killed the book

Review from Life Reset: Hobnobbing →

Really… Star Wars blaster sound effects… bad sound effects in general such as the sound of an impact on a metal drum in place of hitting s wooden table… yep metal sounds just like wood. The story isn’t bad, but the sound effects are so disjointed it drags the quality down.
