This book had excellent crunch and an entertaining storyline, but the MC is a little too virtuous for me. I dont mind a good character, but in a world as cruel as the one the MC finds himself in, it’s unrealistic he would survive let alone thrive. In order to accommodate this, the author has..
I loved this book! It has a twisted sense of humor that really resonated with me. However, I do not like graphic sex scenes or any sort of harem novels and this book has very explicit sex scenes. Fortunately, the description warned of this and the rest of the book was so fantastic I was..
This book series is great. I have listened to a lot of litrpg books and this one is perfect. Just the right amount of player/monster info without dragging it out. Lots of action and great actors. I am in the middle of the third book and surprised I’m taking the time to write this instead..
Entertaining enough until about the last third. Ends up tripping over itself again and again with sub plot planting and an entirely too convenient Chekhov’s armory scene(s). Decently paced character development, coupled with the book defining soul searching chapter helped balance out earlier criticism. Epilogue turned a 4 star contented read/listen into a 3 star..
Fantastic book. Crosses a few genres while also managing to be one of a kind. A dash of super heroes and villains, a sprinkling of litrpg, and a twist of…a twist. You’ll enjoy every minute!
*Warning*– May Contain Spoilers –This book represents the gaming experience I dream of, aka “full dive” or like the manga: Sword Art Online. I found there to be a lot of similarities between the two works of art/literature. However, E. A. Hooper brings this fantasy game world to life, and in a way that actually..
another author who creates the MC as a vanilla human who is both stupid and a huge mega cry baby I love the concept of the book but oh my God is the MC horribly annoyingwhy you so many authors feel we are so stupid we need to have everything explained in excruciating detail one..
The books only keep getting better. Loved this one! Jeff Hays voiceovers bring the story to life. Definitely reading the next…
If there was another book this would have been fine, but since this is the last book in the series the main plot ending feels lackluster, and really leaves me feeling unfulfilled. Strong writing that left me feeling the author didn’t know how to finish the series.
