This entire novel reads like the “example of play” section in a standard role playing game. The constant expression of hit points and man appoints and damage throughout the story completely ruins it for motion of the story and plotting. It got really obnoxious Very quickly
I’m quite picky when it comes to books but this series is #1 on my list of those that make my cut.

Not the best I’ve read/listened to, but certainly not the worst. Narration was excellent as always from the sound booth gang. Story was ok, though not my cup of tea. The only real complaint I have is that the main character feels a little like the sidekick, and doesn’t contribute much in their endeavor.
I enjoyed the book and will definitely read the next one, though the way the book ended was a little questionable for me. Without spoiling anything, the way it ended left me genuinely unsure if the author was trying to incorporate a new plot for the future books from an alternative perspective, or if they..

Loved the mixed cast, this is the way all audio books should be produced. Men playing men and women playing women. Both did fantastic jobs. The sarcasm between them made me bust out laughing!
