Nice mix of real world and game danger. New characters and new dangers. excited to see what’s next
Stranger danger
Review from Survivors →
It’s about a character that nobody likes and everyone tries to take advantage of from the start. They gratuitously attack, offend and manipulate the main character all day long and it’s overall pretty depressing. Try D. RUSS’S PLAY TO LIVE Series
This book really surprised me. I was going out on a work trip and wanted to find a fun read for my travels. For background, I have listened to some GameLit RPGs prior (Chaos Seed, Ascend Online, and a few others) and will be measuring most of my review based on comparisons from those books…
Great story, great writer, great narration. The weird little sound effects that showed up very infrequently was… weird. But the rest was great. Being the third book in the series, I feel this way about the other two as well, so this series is definitely worth picking up. Annie Ellicott’s narration is wonderful, and Jeff..
I’ve been a huge fan of the LitRPG genre and this is definitely one of my favorites! I rarely write reviews but this book deserves my little time writing a review. The story, the characters, the performance, all of it is top notch. Can’t wait for the rest of the series!
soooooooo freaking good! read this series now. if your looking for a good LITRPG to start on or one to slate your thirst this is amazing.
There’s sometimes a slight echo from the recording that comes and goes. If it weren’t for that little bug I’d give it a 5. worth a credit for sure though.
I liked it well enough. I think the only thing I’m missing is a bit of romance. I really wanted the 19 year old to fall in love with the 70 year old just for the unrequited love dynamic. Oh wells, still liked it.
plot jumped around a lot and the characters locations where always unknown and the discrepencies between worlds is never described. Next steps for characters were never laid out. But I found the dialogue engaging, props to the readers
