I love the characters and the mechanics of the world. There is a good balance between character development, settlement development and story. Jeff Hays and the Soundbooth Theater got it out of the park!

Easy to listen, the story was great if you like fantasy with rpg elements. Narrator was great as well.

Hate the chapter transition noises. Main character is a walking lawful good cliche but his support team characters are both wonderful. Some bits of the story jump around and I wish the academy was described in better detail. All in all good listen.

This was an excellent story. I am looking forward to the third book’s audio release.

curse words. almost overwhelming amount. dragged in some areas. OK with some,not every other word

Fun story with interesting characters, really enjoyed it and I’ll have to pick up the next couple CBG books now
