I’m enjoying the story and the characters, but I keep encountering homophobic Undertones. Ive tried to look past it, but I felt like it was a major plot point in this book. It’s not uncommon in the RPGLit genre, but I’m still always surprised by it and disappointed.
It’s my third time listening to the series, I’m an otr trucker. I listen to books on average of 8-10 hrs a day.This is one of 6 series I listen to on repeat

Jeff Menapace is an amazing writer. With him writing and Jeff hays narrating it’s phenomenal. Lol I told Jeff Menapace that I was mad at him for who he kills off in the books and he laughed and said” I love that it angers you.. it’s my job to f*€k with ur head” my answer..

Picks up right where the last book ends, and doesn’t slow down. So good. The characters, the impeccable Jeff Hays narration. Make this an anime with Jeff doing the voice work!!

I enjoyed the narration immensely. I thought it brought the story to life wonderfully, and really help deepen the characters. I thought the story was well written and engaging, I could hardly put it down for the last 8 hours.

I want to start by saying that I enjoyed this book and this series. With a few hours to go, I really thought that there had to be another book because there was so much to resolve, but it did finish. Due to that, it felt rushed at the end (not bad, just rushed).

It turns out that the main character is a 30 year old ignoramus. I love Jeff Hayes and Annie Ellicott but their terrible voices of Miller and Jade mixed with, lets be honest, very poor comedic filler. I just can’t take it anymore. Thanks for the ride Charles Dean but this is where I get..
