Captivating. Slightly unfortunate end with what looks to be a whole load of effort wasted with little next to nothing gained. No amazing new power, no unique twist of fate, just another hole in another situation which our MC must now dig himself out of. Still entertaining at any rate.

This is alright and will keep you listening even into the 2nd book. Started the third even though the 2nd book is not as good as the first. Hopefully the 3rd book does awesome. So the overall rating of the series goes higher and makes up for the political ploy in book 2
