Audible does a wonderful job with this book. It feels like watching a show it’s so descriptive. Feels a lot like DND and I love that about it.

Carl and Donut are spectacular. The writer is brilliant and the narrator is one of my very favorites. if you don’t love the action packed, ridiculously hilarious group of misfits you obviously don’t appreciate ridiculous, crude, and complely whacked humor and need to be put out of your misery.
I enjoyed everything about the book. Good plot, narration, balanced time spent on LitRPG stats, and diverse characters.
There is character pay off, deep plot, and stellar world building in the series. Dont write it off cause the first third takes time to warm you up. If you do buy, do yourself a favor and stay until the end to make up your mind on continuing.
None of the writing stood out above OK outside some aspects of world building. Annie is top VO talent. Taking 30 minor characters who’s only personality difference is basically their favorite flavor of ice cream and making them compelling. Not bad, but hard to recommend.
