A lot of the elements that made the first book great were expounding upon in the book (cool IRL content and great character development). Also I’m a sucker for gladiator content. The narrator does a fantastic job bringing all the characters to life!

Overall some of the better writing in the genre. Some of my biggest complaints would have to be the general impopentence of everyone else until the main character arrives. Prince wrote a fun, fast-paced story and the Sound Booth team delivered as they always do. I’d recommend this book for teens and adults. I would like to have a bit more on the skill progressions as in advancements, etc. I am looking forward to the next book in the Gray Blood series.
