Some of the digital effects were a bit jarring

The echo/reverb with mental communication, specifically from Vic, hurt my ears. Raystia’s voice also felt a little synthetic a couple times, though I’m not sure if they were using any effects for that… It didn’t detract much from the book though, was still a great listen and recommended to my friends.
If you haven’t purchased this book yet, don’t. The story is good but not great. The narrator is completely wrong for this genre. His attempts at various voices leave a LOT to be desired. If you haven’t tried it yet, you will quite possibly enjoy The Land much more. If I could refund this book..
