I disagree with a lot of reviews that this one wasn’t as good as the others. I waited to listen until I was sure that there would be a sequel and now I’m going to have a hard time waiting again. Great book!

Fun characters, fun world, and great narration. All three books are great and I keep hoping the author makes a 4th book.
I love Charles Dean’s War Aeturnus series and was excited to check out his newest creation in the Heroic Villain. The story is solid and the work is captivating as most of his writing is, but I was disappointed that the story line and several plot elements were pretty clearly ripped off from other LitRPG..
A really nice change of pace not to be taken too seriously, not sure if you would anyway, with that title and all… but in general it was a really good listen and very tasty.
I was terrified to start this series because of the awful reviews of book three stating that the ending is rushed and a cliffhanger. Though there is a bit of a cliffhanger I thoroughly enjoyed the book and ending. I didn’t feel like any of the story was rushed out incomplete and I enjoyed it..
the voices take this good book and makes it great! at multiple points I forgot all of the characters were the same guy!

This is an amazing book I can’t get enough. I am very sad to see someone gave it a one star I can tell you that this book is definitely a fun ride and one that even after just finishing I still want to listen more. The stronghold is getting bigger things are settling in..
Only thing that could make it better would be more of it. Absolutely loved it.
