I’ll be honest, I struggled to start this book. For me the first 5 or so chapters just seemed to drag by endlessly. It does however see a marked improvement in both pace and content at about chapter 6. The voice used for Thorn’s in-game voice irritated me throughout the book, but the narrator did..
it was a fun ride. though some charecters don’t make sense… the ending was interesting.
theres literally no reason to talk about a mimic leveling for hours. just bad writing
What would Boxy do is now the way I start to look at some of life’s problems.
Loved the performance but honestly the narrator took about a whole book for me to get used to listening. Besides that and some minor cliches that annoyed the hell out of me I did enjoy the book.
This book is so off the wall and out of the book that I simply can’t get enough of it!
Just as good as the first book in the series. Great story, great narration, amazing voice talents.

Jeff’s performance here is great. There are a number of well done audio effects that that help elevate it. Unfortunately, the story itself – particularly the writing – was rather mediocre. Read and written well and is a great follow up to his first book. Only critique would be a heavy use of plot armor for the MC. Even so, this was a fun book worth the credit, and I plan to keep a credit available for the next book in the series.
