My own imagination cannot reconcile the completely irrelevant sounds with what is happening in the book, which means I have to listen more than once to figure out what is going on. About an hour of this is JUST the narrator reading off character sheets. Great story but man too many filler scenes. I bet they look cool in text but they sound like a waste of time and money.

I enjoyed this more than I expected to. i find the video game world mechanics clunky and annoying but the plot and characters made up for much of it. Enough that I will probably get the next in the series.

Good story but on audio format there is at least a chapter if not two worth of the narrator reading item and skill descriptions from a character sheet. It’s not a fun thing to listen to. Detracts from the overall enjoyment.
