Review from Goblin King →
I’m fairly new to the LitRPG genre but have been listening to a few books lately which were filled with humor and a light mood. This book is not like those. The protagonist is not fun or charming and the entire story is rather dark and awful. The book in itself is not bad, but..
But an enjoyable ride with a sprinkle of litrpg elements. Narration is exactly the highest level of delivery that you’d expect from Soundbooth team.
I don’t wanna give anything away so to put it simply just give it a go. This book had me laughing non stop and eagerly waiting for more. The most disappointing thing about was that it eventually ends.
TL;DR It is a decent LitRPG. Problem 1: The Main Character – The first hour or so is indeed hard to get through. Lee, the main character, knows nothing. I suppose it is appropriate that someone would be disoriented after being plucked from their life, but it is exaggerated a bit too much for my..
An interesting and unexpected main character and viewpoint. Entertaining and probably never be repeated. A+
At first I thought that I was not gonna to greatly like the book. Once I listened to the book a little bit longer, the writing style grew on me. I started to like the directions of the 2 stories; RPG and real life. I definitely like listening to this book more than reading it…
Some parts of the book are very good but it has some very slow moments as well. Overall enjoyable with alot of potential for the next book
This was supposed to just be a brain cleanser for the Author so he could get back to writing the Delvers LLC series, but it was not written as second thought. It’s well written and the characters and world are well fleshed-out and detailed. I enjoyed it immensely and look forward to the next book..
well done and I am definitely looking forward to the next one. if you haven’t given the series a chance yet you’re missing out intriguing as well as many funny spots.
