I really enjoy this series because it doesn’t shy away from anything. PTSD, violence, and the repercussions of actions are all talked about. If you want a mature but funny story try this.
MC is a bit too lucky even for a non serious story arc. sexually graphic parts of the book added nothing to the experience. I’m not sure why they are even there. same effect could have been accomplished with obvious innuendo without putting off people who prefer a book without the 3 or 4 smut..
I’ve read all three books so far and decided to give the audible version a try. with the mix of the actors and sound effects it for me was better than reading the books. Great job Dave
I listen to a lot of military scfi, and this is a very creative storyline. There’s some corny stuff, but it’s original, and there’s more character development, (which I like), than there is in many books of this genre. I look forward to books 2 and 3. The reader is the one fairly big problem…
I love how these new writers keep making their main characters do udderly stupid things in order to make the story work or to provide that extra bit of drama… a good story, could have been great
This book had so many good ideas, which made it all the more annoying when it failed to deliver on them at all. Lucas is just a terrible villain, and the author didn’t make me believe he was some ruthless CEO at all. He comes off as a regular ass litrpg protag that is just..
Minor spoilers How can all but the Main Character max out their levels? Advantage of MC’s negitive level status is quick leveling. So how does all his party members max out with him gaining 20 level or so? Makes no sense! What’s behind the charters that oppose the MC? I would have rather got to..
The story keeps going strong. Lots of action, mystery, struggles, humor, you name it. The narration is as always great quality.
This is a very nice addition to the litrpg genre. Epic fantasy, cool battles, character growth. It’s all here. Add some great narration and I’m sure I can recommend this one if you liked any of the points above.
