This is probably the fourth book I have read with a primace of an apocalypse where the world becomes like a video game. Personally this is my favorite. The writing is good but the thing that sets it apart is the production quality. Full cast with sound design. There is dramatic background music during fights.

A gruesome and bloody story where tragedy is quickly overshadowed by loot. if you can look past the insanity grim gamified scenario and the main character being handed things to easy, then its an enjoyable listen.
