This isnt Dungeon Crawler Carl. Don’t expect it to be. It is an engaging story with twists, memorable characters, heartwarming moments, humor, and moments of heart pounding action, mixed with edge of your seat thrills. Highly recommend.

Grabbed this as a palate cleanser after too much grim dark thinking it would be fun and knowing Jeff Hays and Annie Ellicott can make anything fun to listen to. Ended up finding my new favorite LitRPG series. Protagonist is a refreshing blend of practical and positive without falling into the OP special snowflake trap…
Very interesting book

There is an obvious theme to Dinniman’s writing, but it’s not a case of telling the same story with a new veneer. Here we have “the dangers of AI” and “the horrors that people can inflict on each other” (themes common in his other works) but told via the experiences of a group of farmers..
surprisingly good

Fun sci-fi romp

Fantastic characters!
Review from Chronos Warlock →
Recycled Dungeon Crawler Carl, but with less interesting characters and predictable tiresome plot, e.g. murderous alien invaders take over a planet, good-natured, put-upon, protagonist has to rally scared civilians to fight for humanity as genocide is televised for a heartless population’s amusement . I listened to seven Dungeon Crawler Carl books in less than three..
