this is a fun read and Jeff Hayes is a great narrator, he really brings the characters to life. So pumped for vol. 3!
Everything Jeff Hayes has narrated in the GameLit RPG genre has been a hit for me. He has apparently been receiving some quality stories from solid authors, but he is great at performing the tales. In this case, William Arand has created a fascinating world where, at least in one city, the heroes have been..
It was just okay. I was looking forward to reading this after being glued to his Bad Games collection. It didn’t even come close. I could predict just about everything before it took pla ce. I like the unexpected and I had a hard time sticking with it.
Excellent! Great series, keeping me in the edge of my seat. Unpredictable and rewarding, I can’t recommend it more!
as title of this review says I think this books was better than the first book. I think it was a little annoying that at the end of every chapter it has the 2:00 minute character sheet review, but that is really the only gripe I have about this book.
enjoyed this first story of the tale a lot, definitely some parts/stuff bogged down a bit, but by the end it flows better. 2nd book continues the improvement!
