The story is interesting, the worldbuilding great. But the main characters are always ALWAYS shooting glances, growling and having eyes twitching. If this was a drinking game, you’d be drunk immediately. The romance takes awhile, but the conflict is unexplained for the first 2/3 of the book and leaves you feeling like the main character..

Jeff Hays just gets better and better with each project. This was a wonderful title when I read it on kindle and even after a minute in I knew I would greatly enjoy the narrated version. This will easily turn into an all night/day er? for me 😀

The music and other sounds are a new change to audio books. At first it was a little off putting but it comes into play a lot more as the book goes on, I thought they did a great job with this one. 10 of 10 to the narrator and sound team. Another great read..
Well written, unlike a lot of the books in the series. my only issue was with a few of the game aspects that I thought would have been better written in other ways. An example of this is the NPC’s. Why the NPC’s are smart out of battle but morons in battle doesn’t make sense..
