A lot of the humor falls short for me. While I don’t mind the guy humor at all, actually liking it interspersed in some books, most of the jokes just weren’t that funny. And for a book mostly based around humor, rpg statistics butted their head in far too often. Occasionally there are some good..
I wasn’t terribly impressed by this book. I’ve listened to a few other LitRPG series and this one is a little forgettable compared to something like The Land. Everything about it is just kind of mediocre.
Read the book if you enjoyed the first volume you’ll enjoy this one even more. Definitely worth going in without any spoilers.
This book makes me laugh and I want to make a d&d character out of it.
This story kept getting better as it went along, especially once the author left the demon characters (and the related gratuitous sex descriptions) behind.
Tides of War by M.R. Forbes and narrated by Jeff Hays answer his awesome sci-fi series perfectly! Great action, multiple aliens cooperating together, good vs evil, the “secret weapon” lol! Enjoyed it all! Hays is perfect in everything he narrates! All types of aliens too! ?
