If you have read and enjoyed the first two books you will enjoy this one. Boxy and company are written with the same realism , absurdity and humour as always. The arcs they follow are fairly believable even when it gets a wee bit harem like in the middle. The book feels more like three..
the first 30% of the book is a little hard to read but the rest makes up for it several times over, already downloaded book 2
a great laughi found the main character’s attitude childlike towards everything refreshing as well the byplay between the demons quite funny
First book started out with the protagonist Jack Thorn acting like idiot doing things to antagonize people for no reason. Then you come to find that every action and word he makes is carefully orchestrated to manipulate everyone around him. In this book you find out about his violent and traumatic past that made him..
One of the best audio books I have had the fortune to listen to. The only bummer is when it’s over and the next one isn’t finished. As usual Jeff hays is a legend in narration.
This probably isn’t the best intro novel into this genre because there are a lot of things you’re assumed to know but I knew that going into it so I wasn’t put off by it.. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and character development as well as the excellently written action scenes interspersed with humor 🙂..
This book will not be in any literature classes any time soon, but it will be a fun read from start to finish. There is a crossover between the Wild Waists series and this one. I reccomend reading this book before Wild Waists 3rd book because of spoilers.
