i listen to a lot of space based sci-fi and this series is one of the better ones i have heard in awhile. Great story and really good narrator.
The book started off a little slow. It has to many chapters. It seem to be 2-4 mini chapters (4 minutes long) about the same subject. As it draws you in, you here silence then a number & be on the same phrase. It became annoying.
I’m hooked plain and simple, it took a few chapters but then one amazing twist and turn after another
If you could sum up Dead Stare in three words, what would they be? Waiting for next book!!!! Impatiently. . . . What was one of the most memorable moments of Dead Stare? Everything. . . Which scene was your favorite? NEXT BOOK. . . .
What made the experience of listening to Stone Cold Bastards the most enjoyable? The narrator did a very good job of voicing the characters and drew the listeners in. I was given a copy of this book by Jeff Hays, who performed the narration for this edition, in exchange for a review. I had heard of neither Jake Bible, the author, nor Jeff Hays before this. I did have prior knowledge, however, of a 1990s TV show ‘Gargoyles’ and this is the connection I..
Exciting ending to a enjoyable trilogy. Some minor story issues. Too often the humans ended up coming up with innovative and highly scientific breakthroughs just seconds before they’re blasted into another galaxy. This gave the novel somewhat of a campy feel to it but I’m good with it. Gen. Saint Martin future was somewhat left..
In a world overrun by Demons, Gargoyles are the last line of defense for the remaining humans, but with sanctuaries falling quickly, the Demons set their sights on the last Sanctuary in Appalachians Mountains. But Artus and a group of grotesques have other ideas and will fight to the death to keep this one from..
