Very minor spoiler because other reviewers don’t seem to get it – Runner Norwood is NOT the titular Selfless Hero. That is another character entirely. Do not go into this expecting the main character to be a selfless hero.

The narrator was one of the best I’ve ever heard along with the others who chimed in. Runner the main character, an unforgettable character that wooshed me away when listening. I need to seriously re-listen the trilogy…. Kudos!

I’ve read to dozens of litRPG novels; this series has done the best, thus far.
there were some areas that were absolutely frustrating in that oren (or the author) seemed to forget what tools were available to solve problems. There’s also the part where the company stops helping and in a way becomes a hindrance; I’m not a lawyer but I’m pretty sure some of their actions could be seen..
