Review from Everybody Loves Large Chests →
I liked the story but there were a few problems with narrating to character talk, the soumd volume was lower when the characters spokem which can be annoying if you don’t have headphones in or good headphones.
This is an entertaining book. There weren’t any problems with the writing, grammar, or style. There were just a few things that subtracted from the experience and made me count back from a perfect 5 star rating. They are: – Trampling all over D&D intellectual property with evil, subterranean, dark skinned, white haired elves that..
Fantastic book. This audiobook comes in two parts, however the second part plays first. Listening to the first part then suddenly realizing the second part took place first kind of spoiled the book for me. Still a great buy.
So many good one liners and the story just gets better and better. I cant wait for the next book 🙂
I got the audible book for book 2 three days ago and I just got done with it.And I loved it!!! And I was thinking the hole time that Oren and Tikka should have a baby and think what kind of emotional toll that could take on Oren but then you put that twist in..
I have no idea how this ever got through Audibles sound quality check… the story is almost ruined by the horrible echoes added to all characters spoken lines. In the first book this was limited to Vic’s voice, now it’s on every damn voice which makes the book horrible to listen through. If it wasn’t..
Loved the twist of the dungeon lord being human and not a dungeon crystal. However, the sex scene was weak and better left out. It did not add to the story.
I really didn’t enjoy the real world stuff. it was kinda stupid. if you bought your mom a pack of smokes and she killed herself somehow by lighting it on the stove. did you kill your mom? no of course not. that’s not what happens, but it’s pretty close.
