Loved it. wanted more. one thing is that the main character over thinks too much but it doesn’t really affect the story. it’s just what I notice a lot in the story.

I haven’t been this excited about a new litrpg in along time. This book is very different than almost every book I have read before it, the way they focus on the real world makes you care about their game characters and their real lives. I will be watching and waiting for the next one..
It has the basic frame of any LitRPG. It has monsters, some kind of magic system, stats(kinda), classes…but everything lacks depth. The first hour or so was a little confusing because it had me believe that the main character was one of a few that had been given a chance at a newly developing technology..
Dont worry about the last 20 mins of Book 1, which describes the thoughts of the young Emperor Einheart & politics. Although that has relevant clues, Book 2 is still about our favorite square (hero/monster) mimic…. and well worth the $ or credit. My other comments are same as others’ feedback: great narration, interesting & progessing..
This series has really hooked me. It is well written and truly draw the listener in.. Jeff Hayes is a super narrator drawing the reader in with his multiple voices and dialects.Giving this story life and a very satisfying listen. I did miss the slight echo effect that were used in the prior books when..
And while I’m not sure that this is technically the best LitRPG book I’ve listened to on audible, I can say that I’m experiencing the same feeling I had after listening to The Land for the first time… …I am feeling bereft that the book has ended, and I’m seconds away from going on Patreon..
Kinda reminds me of Super sales on Super Hero’s, or Gun Miester Online and The Builder’s Sword, but More government conspiracy-ish, like Escape from witch mountain or an anime like Cyborg 009.a lot of pop culture references, Comedy, ACTION, and a good amount of adult flirtatious fun ;pJust about died at the Book cover reference..
Excellently paced book with interesting real world and virtual world storying. Definitely left me eager for more! I’m going to go read Willmarth’s other work now.
