I agree there seems to be lots of filler side stuff in this one. I can’t count the amount of times I had to start chapters over because my attention just couldn’t stay focused on it. Still gave it 5 because I ❤️ JTJ!
lI actually enjoyed the story, made it close to the end of Book 3. I’m not so thin skinned that general cursing bothers me, not at all, but in this case the author is developing new combinations of words to be able to use the name of Jesus. It isn’t even sensible use…..this isn’t character..
Thought this would be the start of a great series based on the reviews but not even close. From a LitRPG perspective it’s okay, some of the story elements were interesting but it becomes disjointed as the characters jump 15, 20, 30 years into the future so there’s no sense of progressive leveling. Love love love this series. Excellent voice acting. Compelling storyline with interesting characters. And funny! These days, I need the funny, and this delivers.
There was a rape scene, yes. Short lived, vaguely described, not exactly rape but from a “sapient creatures” pov it was, and seemingly moved on from after a short and intense character developement/progression shortly after. Other than that, great writing and story. Can’t wait to see where it goes from here
