This is a great book same as the first full of memes, action, adventure, and D&D references. The world building and sense of mystery was still there but a little less than the first book. My only qualm with the book was that is was just too short, it didn’t seem like that much happened…
If the spotlight of the first book is Henry’s growth into his powers, and the second book is Jason’s power expansion, then this one is definitely Aohd’s spotlight. It’s still interesting to see the growth of all of the characters and major plot points are finally unveiled. There is still so much to be done..
A very fun and very long first entry in what i hope is a many book series. I usually avoid litrpgs where the people can log out (which most of them can) but the way the mc gets stuck is very believable and gives him a real goal to work towards. Only one game mechanic..
This is a very different take on LitRPG! If you’re expecting a traditional story about a gamer that gets sucked into a VRMMORPG and works to level up, this is not that type of book. It doesn’t really have a traditional story structure or an antagonist. It’s just a bawdy tale about a monster’s adventures..

I really enjoyed the battle at the end of this and having the little twist that it did with the high priestess’s. more power, more technology and more attitude from the characters. And THIRSTY, hahaha what a great character to add and give this book some of the more colorful parts of the USA!
