I love and hate this story. I love everything about it and that I cannot predict where the story is going. But it feels like forever between books.
Love it, immediately tried to find out when the next book is out!. It’s engaging and builds up to a sequel with some unanswered questions. Basically feels like “a new hope”
For the first book that I got on Audible I was really surprised how good this book was. I could not stop listening to it. You never knew what was going to happen. I would recommend this to any one that like fantasy RPGs and underdog stories.
Disclaimer: I received a free copy in exchange for a honest review. The concept is interesting, but I didn’t quite like the execution–too many digressions about society, and other things that didn’t engage me. If it weren’t because it is well narrated, I wouldn’t have gone past the beginning.
After book two I anxiously awaited this book to find out more of what happens to Jason and Henry after the ending. The story just kept getting better with them both finding out more about the world around them and the otherworldly hierarchy that has them playing this game of good vs evil, but I’m..
I really liked this book.I didn’t know if I could get into it but took the chance. Now I find myself looking for more like it.I bought the authors other available books.Jeff Hays does a great job.We need more.
overall not bad. But nothing special to write home about entertaining was easy to finish the book but completely not memorable nor all that funny
I was trying to find a funny book to listen to. This ended up not being super funny but definitely entertaining. A little graphic at times. Overall pretty good.
A great book. I got a huge kick from the reference to Sue the zombie T-Rex from The Dresden Files. That series is one of my favorites also, so apparently Jason and I share similar taste in books!
