Pretty good continuation of the last book. There’s a few tropes that get beaten to death with this book. Some of the situations seem forced with no contextual reason for the decisions made. Also, Henry tends to bug me because he’s not reacting or thinking like a trained soldier or a paramedic. Lastly, progress feels..
I think if I read it as a book, seeing the stats rather than being read them, I would enjoy it, but it just made boring patches that I ended up just skipping through. I also didn’t care for the ending. I really liked the characters, though so it wasn’t a total loss.

Amazing book, I couldn’t put it down. I go finished it in less than 24 hours. The story and characters are well written and developed. I can’t wait for the second book.
The concept is fresh and the story has progressed in unexpected ways. I had thought the characters have improved significantly over the first book.
Ending was a little too gritty and unsatisfying. Rest is really good though. Hoping for sequel.
If you like the style of some of the recent Japanese light novels and want something with a more mature angle, this was a very interesting novel. The ending could have been a little stronger but I trust the sequel will get into that.
