I’m a bit disappointed in Jeff Hayes for taking on this project will will now hesitate to read any book based on the narrator alone. Sad, because the basic story is creative, but at times felt like someone was merely reading the ruleset to an extremely juvenile, AI created RPG.

the MC is hardly a character. Basic nice guy with no personality. his love interest is the same and their interaction is boring to cringe for a midevil world. The hammer is annoying. It’s like a child forced into the story with intelligence it shouldn’t have and its audio is too loud. good leveling system..
