I don’t know what I was expecting, but it certainly wasn’t what I got. What I got was an impressively engaging novel about superpowers and slavery that doesn’t downplay either. Very inspired by anime and comics, but in a fun homage more than anything else.
This book was a pleasant surprise. I did not think I was going to like orwould anticipate the next book in the series as much as I do. My only complaint is I wasn’t able to find a website to see how the next book is coming.

An excellent story, well crafted and the narration is spot on which is just what you expect of Jeff Hays and Annie Elliott. The story line is proceeding in an interesting way and not a predictable way. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait the next!

My son picked this book for us to listen to together. It is a great story. And when it ended I had to get the next book. I highly recommend this book if you like super heroes.
