I had a very difficult time taking breaks from this story, it was so very engaging. It’s a long story, but well worth the time. I’m starting the next book as soon as I finish this review.

Competent story that can keep you interested if you can get past their eye rolling, pandering "love scenes" with a compliant female that has no personality. The narration and the audio is superb.
Mix one ‘irresistible’ slave owner and a bevy of oddly complacent ex-supers. Mostly female. Extra super mostly female. The story is okay, it’s the weird subtext that makes my skin crawl a bit. It reminded me of the middle of the Leo Frankowski Cross-Time Engineer series where he started handing out indigenous women as party..
I don’t often write reviews, but this book deserves it. the progression and character development really pulls you in it feels like you are actually playing as Oren. Can’t wait for the next installment!
The story is about a monster, not a human. The book is only moderately funny and all the women are described the same. I like juvenile humor, but this wasn’t well executed.

Fantastic book. Great Writing and Jeff Hays truly brings it to life with his delivery. I can not recommend this audible book highly enough. This should be on the top of every reader and listeners library!

this book is a very funny look from the point of view of an antagonist.
This started out as a good, spooky story. A group of people follow their friend into the bacement of an old building he has just recently procured.
