it’s July 2025 and I’ve listened through the whole series twice since I found it in February 2025. My only mistake with entering the LitRPG genre is setting the bar so high with Matt Dinnamin and Jeff Hayes. Now nothing else scratches my itch.
Only a nerd with video game experience, a sense of humor, a love of sci-fi, and slight schizophrenic tendencies would enjoy this book. I freaking love it.

Brings the great DCC to life! The best version to enjoy DCC and it never gets old lol
It has a slow chapters in the middle, but the last 4 and the epilogue are like popcorns in a movie, you just want to keep eating more.
This book captivates from beginning to end. It feels like the perfect mashup of action and humor for anyone whole loves dungeons and dragons and video-games. An OK story but the demonic Grover voice of the MC’s sentient weapon gets annoying. The book isn’t great. It gets smarmy and cheesy at times. Everything goes too easy for the MC. He gets super powers, a perfect girlfriend, perfect parents, perfect friends, all the money he could ever need. No challenges or hardships..
