The biggest problem with this series isn’t that you’ll be disappointed. It’s that it may ruin all other books for you. Nobody else has this level of world building, complex character development, dramatic intensity, and bizarre, transgressive, emotionally affecting comedy. The first book starts out good and each following novel gets wildly better.

I got it based on the amount of positive reviews, and it was utter disappointing. One of the worst things I’ve ever tried to listen.

The story telling is excellent, the world building is excellent, loved how early on a gamer would’ve easily spotted an exploit with the system only for it to get patched out.

This book is unique, hilarious, and overall everything I want in a book. My husband and I both LOVE listening to this series together and the voice actor makes the story come to life.

I love this whole series so much. At first by title alone I thought it sounded so dumb & like something I wouldn’t enjoy. Boy was I wrong! I devoured these books & can’t wait for the next one to come out!
