Macronomicon does good writing. I enjoy their humor fantasy style as too many books are grim these days and it’s nice to listen to something that makes you laugh. All their books have great characters and interesting worlds. The MC in this one is basically a newbie tower climber blessed by fate brazenly somehow not..
The constantly flippant tone of the main character and his lack of communication with other creatures early in the story make him too unlikeable. I dont have any investment in the character after over 10 hours of listening.
