I love these books I really do. They are funny and epic and for the most part, easy to follow. was just disappointed by the lack of progression in this one.

I absolutely love listening to these books! Matt’s books are super engaging all on their own, but the talented voice work takes it to another level. I highly recommend this book to anyone needing an escape from the real world’s problems for a few hours.
Fantastic world and character building with just the right amount of humor, action and absurdity. right up my alley.

The voice acting and story continues to get better and better. I had no idea going in to this series I would end up buying them all after the first book, I have to ride this out with Carl and princess Donut. Excited and waiting for the next one.

Great story, great narration. The depth of Emilia’s homicidal tendencies I was not expecting. Girl made the Trojan look like an appetizer in comparison to the conflict she started and maintained for centuries just to gain experience. Same old regression story only with an MC who is consistently inconsistent. Well except for the obnoxious “Slips” where he calls others lads or youngins or randomly rubbing a grown adults had for no reason… because he’s old?
