The story was fun and engaging with plenty of laugh out loud moments. I constantly found myself wanting to know what would happen next!
As with the previous book, this unique urban fantasy deftly wields my favorite sci-fi movie trope like a machete in a jungle. When elaborate external conflict becomes boring and routine, it surprisingly elevates the internal conflicts and character developments that can’t just be done over again. Wonderfully written and performed.
if you took hunter games. and mixed in some blade runner, and a whole bunch of role playing games; this is the story you would get. I love this WAY more than I should. Just get it, and get ready for a great story.
Loved it, starting book 3 right now and I’m sure it will get five stars as well. Truly an amazing series that should be considered American literature classics.
I don’t know how Matt Dinniman keeps delivering so much insanity and fun in each of these books, but damn I’m hooked! The characters are ridiculous and yet still so well-made that I can’t help but feel connected to them. I’m a life long fan now.

I devoured this audiobook and loved every minute of it. The story is captivating and hilarious. There were so many moments that reminded me of the joy I felt playing Borderlands because this has a very similar vibe and sounds. The story is 100% different other than the world is crumbling and you just got..
I was introduced to this via Daniel Greene YouTube. I’m normally a straight fantasy reader but I’m hooked and can’t wait to listen to the other books.
