Not quite as amusing as the previous installments, but still a fun little read. I do wonder where the author is going with this tail.
still fun

Brilliant. Hysterical. Absolutely unhinged. I would do anything for Princess Donut. I laughed so much, full deep gut laughter with tears in my eyes. “Did we really just start a meth war between the goblins and the llamas?”
Loving this series, but every time Vernon spoke I wanted to drive a spike through my brain. Critical Drinker can’t voice act to save his life.
There is so many things I loved about this damn book. Literally a combination of like Ready Player One, Hunger Games, and probably Mad Max. 1. It’s not something I would’ve just picked up…(so shoutout to my friend for the hard push on this rec) 2. I laughed so much during this book. 3. Emotions..
when my husband first told me about book 1 and wanted me to read it I didn’t think it would be a good vibe for me but the writing is witty, the characters are complex, and the world building is impressive. I’ve been recommending these books to all my girly friends and gristly guys friends…
A mixture of alien apocalypse, anime game mechanics, and dnd blended perfectly to bring a gripping story about a hero and unlikely sidekick
