Jeff Hayes is a audio narrator god among men. I have tried so hard to listen to fiction on audio for forever. Until this series. I couldn’t stop.
it’s a good story with plenty of world building and interesting characters, but it really feels like a spin off from another series that I haven’t read which kinda keeps it from being great
I am a constant listener of audiobooks and the series is fantastic. It’s a perfect balance for me of humor and action with a dystopian science fiction or fantasy genre. I like the production of the books for audible as well.
I really don’t like card based games and this book was excruciating. After multiple attempts I couldn’t make it past chapter 11. I wish I had skipped this one entirely
Ant-ony is just super over-the-top with just stupid quips every sentence it seems. he doesnt take anything seriously and acts like ‘that guy’ all the time. I really like it so far (about through with the first book) and love Jeff’s narration; I just wish we had a main character that was less annoying.
The voice acting was incredible, I didn’t even realize it was only Jeff Hayes at first because he is so versatile with his voices. The story itself is addicting, hilarious, and heart wrenching all at the same time. I can’t wait to continue this series and see more of Carl and Princess Donut’s action packed..
I love this series!! Matt Dinniman creates a new installment of the DCC series and it was such a fun ride! I love the way Jeff Hays brings this world to life. Every character has its own voice and this just feels like a video game campaign. While the level design is wacky and complicated..
I feel like I may have gotten my fill of this litRPG story. 😂 Carl and Donut rise to a new floor: the Over City. It’s vast, grim, and full of traps. Although Dinniman has tried to open up the dungeon by christening the level “Over-city” and introducing an artificial solar cycle, the world still..
