Dinniman’s world building is complex yet easy to understand. Unfamiliar concepts become as simple as breathing and if they don’t, it’s on purpose for the plot. Truly a perfect pilot.
Incredible Worldbuilding

I am sad I will never be able to experience this series for the first time, again. My husband and I love this series and would 10 out of 10 recommend it to anyone with any sort of sense of humor.
Story is amazing and funny, yet still dramatically compelling. Jeff Hayes does an amazing job selling every character. 10/10
I very much enjoyed this book. The story is very well thought out and the switch to a video game stat leveling system works perfectly to match the video game aesthetic. Donut and Carl’s relationship is amazing and I would definitely recommend this book.
An amazing book that had me from the first minute. One of if not the best I’ve read in quite some time. I really hope the rumors of there not being any more in the series is unfounded as that would be a travesty.

This book actually kept me guessing often but not all the time. The setting was interesting and the plot doesn’t gets stale the way you might expect. this is another banger! i’m starting book 4 right now and i already got book 5.
An engaging story with humor, violence, and a cat! A top notch book with excellent narration. Highly recommend.
Absolutely love DCC and book 5 did not disappoint. Amazing story and performance. Looking forward to the next installment
