Review from Dead Tired I →
This author knows how to blend genres really well. The attention to detail from book to book is great. Lots of callbacks to previously acquired gear, buffs, spells, potions, scrolls, and interactions with other characters…it’s a lot to keep track of, and Matt Dinniman does it really well. Jeff Hays does a great job keeping..
So I almost didn’t finish this book, but I refuse to DNF a book. I’m glad I did. My biggest complaint was the voicing for Melina (Malina?) as I found it grating. In the first book, she didn’t speak too much so it was tolerable. I made it halfway before needing to take a pause..
Seriously? What an awful story premise: gamed planet annilation. But it’s written and performed such that one can sympathize with both the protagonists and antagonists of all species, except the corporations. It’s written such that the gruesome aspects are humorous despite the listeners finding it mwaningless. What would each of us do to survive? How..
The narrator is absolutely incredible! The story and character development is great!Always listen to the epilogue
A good mixture of achievement, loss and success 🙌. Great mixture of humor and funny horror. looking forward to Book 2.
The unique adaptation of “what if that nerd shit was real” we’ve all imagined? Yeah, it’s that. I was laughing in the first 5 minutes and it only lets up with more entertainment. It’s good. Give it a listen.
