I don’t know why, I enjoy fantasy and litrpg, but this book just kept boring me. Sound booth theater is probably the only reason I powered through 2/3 of it. I was just too bored. I had to pull over and switch to a different book. Maybe it’s just not for me.
I loved every second of this book. I couldn’t wait to listen to more. Definitely inappropriate to listen to out loud with children around.
This version makes a great book even better! I really enjoy listening to these books, they make a great team!
I expected this to be pretty low brow—but funny —and it is! I was pleasantly surprised by the twists and turns, which add to the humor. I’m also surprised that this book is more emotionally intelligent than the title and description led me to expect.

My wife and I are listening to the series together and have been howling with laughter. Love the modern references and the gamer lingo/strategies, however, you don’t need to be a gamer to enjoy.
