From the start of book one, the writer seems to be trying too hard to capture what works about things like guardians of the galaxy, or suicide squad, but misses the mark badly. Instant total loyalty makes sense for exactly one character due to a species quirk, but somehow applies to EVERY character she interacts..
The beginning of the dungeon is nostalgia now. introducing the 18 floors of places I’ve heard about 9 different, now 10 different times. listen and enjoy.
I can only describe it as awesome. like ready player one, borderlands, and all of the video games of my childhood.
I’m a GenXr. I saw this series in Books-a-million and decided I had to start it. The concept is cool and I laughed out loud in the beginning. The challenge I felt is you have to really understand modern gaming. After a while I had to skim a lot of the material because I’m not..
For being a terrible bard, she can sure hold attention this book, and I’m sure it comes at no surprise to hear the voice acting is terrific
ABSOLUTELY awesome. Laughed a lot, and had some great emotional moments too. Great action description. Great talent show 😁
