Honestly, this book hooked me from the beginning and didn’t let go. I couldn’t put it down! It’s been a long time since I’ve had this much fun with a book. I am going instantly onto the sequel now.

Every book in the series continues to get better. Character growth, the story progression, the jokes… chef’s kiss
The first half is pretty slow and hard to get invested in the characters the second half mixup for it. Definitely not what I expected based off the title, but really good book

The book itself is well written and Soundbooth once again delivers, but the entire novel was a slog. At nearly three hours in the guy is still in the tutorial process and there are literal paragraphs if not pages of describing all manner of minutia about crafting costs and tools required and looting coppers.
