Probably my favorite book in a series of great books! This is where the series really begins to find the emotional backbone that carries it in further books. There are fun antics and great character moments, but Matt seems to have really found his ability to get you in your feels. Laughs, Blood, Love, Pain,..
This book surprised and delighted me. What fun but also deeper than it appears. The narration by Jeff Hays is outstanding.
The character development, the story line, and the twists are all fantastically thought out. The movie that plays out in my head while listening rivals most things I could watch. Feelings of triumph, dispare, hopelessness, and family, weave a tale that won’t soon be forgotten. If you are a fan of DCC, you may find..
this is a good series and I’m awaiting book3 to be narrated … thinking about just reading it but I’ll ask SB if it’s in the works over on their discord hopefully it won’t be a long wait.
I love this very much. This is Super funny. Great performance that made me laugh, cry, scream in rage as I know this is not just a series of books but a mirror and a map. We’re gonna need to break them soon cause they are moving fast.
Donut is amazing and Carl is freaking hilarious! Love these stories and cannot wait to hear the next book! Jeff Hayes is an amazing narrator, he’s so funny and Matt is a great author! Sounds like he has tons of weird fans! lol don’t know what that says about me, but I’d just classify myself..
love the video game aspect of the book, im a big gamer and instantly got hooked when I found out the book is like a video game recommended for sure 👌
Amazing narration, kept me intrigued the whole time. Storyline is Fun and adventurous. I NEED THE SECOND BOOK!
I forget how disturbing or violent his books can be sometimes, a lot of it tends to be hidden by comedy or is so violent it’s just beyond comprehension, but then you have something like the field scene near the start of the book that genuinely invokes anger and disgust and then I remember who..
