Once I started this book series I binged it all in a matter of about a week. I convinced my wife to listen since she was so curious because of how much time I was spending on the series. She is now hooked also. 5 stars. Uh-mazing

The story is fine, but the characters are a bit boring. By the end of a book I usually have some attachments to characters, so far I am mostly indifferent about Carl, but I am starting to warm up on Princess Doughnut. I guess Carl is supposed to be an average guy, so I guess..

Mixed feelings on this one. The monsters are decently monstrous, but the Enlightened are too similar in monstrosity. Fizzy gets less and less interesting, and the whole monster crew is so beyond the power of the world they are in that the whole adventure aspect is dissolving into the digestive juices of the ultimate lifeform.really..
