I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the world building and characters in this admittedly silly book. Also, the book does a great job of capturing the dopamine hit one gets from leveling up and finding loot in a role playing game. Very fun, light listen.

Let me preface by saying I despise isekai-type stories. That said, this book does subvert some of the pitfalls of that genre and it has some really clever humor. I would say about 30% of the humor landed with me, but when it did land, I would bust out loud laughing. And this is one..

Yet another book i got so immersed in that i was genuinely sad when it inevitable came to an end. I can’t wait for the next book. “Perry wondered if everybody would die if he gave chemistro a wet Willie.” had me rolling
What a ride. And there are more? Incredible. The world building, lore, adventure and comedy have been incredible. Three cheers to the author and more so to the narrator.
